WW2 U.S. first aid packet pouch with content.

THESE PICTURES BELONG TO THE COMPLETE WW2 U.S. MEDIC MANNEQUIN!
ITEM WILL NOT BE SOLD SEPARATE!!!

This is the M-1924 first-aid packet pouch, complete with a Carlisle model first aid packet.

The first-aid packet pouch is in great condition and is marked on the back.
Difficult to read because of running of the ink in the webbing and also because of fainting.
If I have read it correct, it reads “J.S. & S. Co. 1943”

Same pouch can be found in “GI collectors guide Vol.1” on page 81 second from the top.

Now, the Carlisle model first-aid packet is on the opposite page on page 80.
The packet you will get with this pouch is to my opinion one that is not described in the book.
To my opinion the packet here is an in between model from packet type 1 and packet type 2 on this page.
Packet type one is all brass (what the packet here also is and what can be seen because of the paint that came of).
The brass packets type one don’t have the sulfanilamide text on the back.
Packet type 2 does, but these were made of tin!
Well, this is a type one packet WITH sulfanilamide text on the back!
The text is also much bigger then I ever seen on these packages.

To my opinion this package is only produced for about 2-3 months as an experiment.

Package is heavy dented and the seal is gone, but content is all there.
