WW2 U.S. canteen and canteen cover

THESE PICTURES BELONG TO THE COMPLETE WW2 U.S. MEDIC MANNEQUIN!
ITEM WILL NOT BE SOLD SEPARATE!!!

A WW2 U.S. canteen and its M-1910 canteen cover.
The M-1910 cover shows signs of wear and the color is fainted to my opinion.
The front has the standard “US” stamp, but then with an oval around it, what you don’t see much.
It has a date stamp “1941” on the outside of the cover.

The canteen it self is model that is standardized in 1943.
However, if you look on page 76 from the “GI collectors guide Vol.I” you will notice that these canteens have a horizontal solder seam with a rolled edge.
The rolled edge is missing and the canteen sides seem to be smoothed.
Most likely this canteen is re-issued after the war to a Scandinavian country, because there is a paper label with Scandinavian text on it.
However, the canteen it self is beautiful marked on the bottom with “U.S.   P.S.E. 1943”
