WW2 U.S. front-line medical troops pouch set

THESE PICTURES BELONG TO THE COMPLETE WW2 U.S. MEDIC MANNEQUIN!
ITEM WILL NOT BE SOLD SEPARATE!!!

This is a complete WW2 U.S. front-line medical pouch set like described in “GI collectors guide Vol.I” on page 224.

The set contains 2 medical bags, 2 litter straps, 2 cantle ring straps and the medical suspender.
Like you can read on that page, the cantle ring straps are used to connect the left and right worn pouch on the front and back with each other.
This prevents that the bags swing all over the place when the medic is running.
These straps could also be used to create a handle on a single pouch.

The litter straps are used to support the weight of a litter, but could also be used as a carrying strap for a single pouch.

The bags are the standard medical bags.
Both stamped with “III-BIS 48”.
No clue what it means!

The suspender is one of the most hard to get items these days.
Like mentioned in the book, most medical department webbing is not marked with maker and/or date.
This one faintly bears the stamp with “USMC”.
It is on the inside when the set is worn, so is not visible.

The complete set is in near mint condition and very light used.
These days a complete set like this one is hard to find.
