WW2 British early Enfield rifle carrying sling

This is a early WW2 British Lee Enfield rifle carrying sling.

It is also a hard to get version these days.
Not made of the standard webbing material, but made from vulcanized canvas.
Officially intended to prevent rot under tropical conditions.
Some say they were designed for the Number 5 jungle carbine, but these slings were produced 3 years before the No.5 carbines were issued.

Sling is in perfect condition, but stiff from age.
Nicely marked with maker and 1941 date.
