WW2 German army DD helmet NAMED

Very nice WW2 German M35 army helmet. At one time this was a Double Decal helmet.
You can still see the contour of the tri-color decal under the paint that was used to repaint it in 1940.
The army decal is about 75% and under the visible decal you can also see the contour of the first army decal. So, when repainted in 1940 they probably also repainted the decal and just added a new one over the old one.
Helmet is complete with original liner and chinstrap and in the liner is a name present.
This is a NS68 size helmet and numbered E114.

I personally got this helmet from a British veteran who “liberated” it during his service time in Europe.
I never did clean the helmet and neither did he.
The idea of the veteran was to make it a flowerpot and I was lucky that I could prevent him from doing this.

An honest “was there” item.
