WW2 British airborne Everest carrier

Beautiful complete example of an original WW2 British Airborne Everest carrier.

These carriers were meant to carry on the back of a soldier, so he could carry a voluminous or heavy load that would not fit a bag.
An other use was that these were fit on the steering handles of the folding bicycle, with the same purpose: to transport loads!
The Everest carriers were used by Commando and Airborne troops.

This example is in near mint condition.
All straps are present and in pretty good condition.
One of the small leather straps that connects the webbing carrying path to the frame has broken.

Frame it self is dated “1944”.

A must have for the Commando or Airborne collector!
